PerfectAire air purifiers work on a hydro filtration technology concept, using a combination of water and the Microbeshield solution. The contaminated air is sucked into the air purifier and mixes with the water and the Microbeshield air purifying solution. A scrubbing effect purifies the air particles within the air purifier bowl, at the same time as eliminating bacteria, viruses and other air contaminants. Clean, purified air is then released back into the air.
It varies from range to range throughout the models of air purifiers, but generally all PerfectAire air purifiers cover a 70m2 – 80m2 area
The PerfectAire diffusers cover an area of 30m2
The laboratory test results indicate that PerfectAire air purifiers, when used with the Microbeshield solutions, are 99.99% effective in eliminating airborne contaminants. These pollutants which trigger allergies will be eradicated. This ensures those who suffer from allergies will be breathing clean, hygienic and therapeutic air whilst indoors. Should you have any underlying medical issues, always consult your doctor before use.
An ionizer works by creating a static charge with airborne particles. Once the pollutants are charged, an electrostatic attraction occurs. Ionizers work to remove contaminants by causing them to be grounded to oppositely charged conductors, including the floor, walls and ceiling.
The Ionizer emits negatively charged ions into the air that attach to positively charged particles like dust, allergens and smoke. This process causes the particles to clump together to form larger and heavier particles. These heavier particles then detach from the air and settle onto nearby surfaces, thus cleaning the air.
It is worth the few extra Rand spent on an air purifier fitted with an Ionizer, as it is beneficial in the air purifying process and speeds it up, making it more efficient.
Some of the PerfectAire units are fitted with LED lights, which have two functions – aesthetic appeal and colour therapy. These lights can prove comforting for children in the bedrooms as a night light and also create a lovely ambience in a home. Studies have shown that colour therapy aids in the learning process and is a daily occurrence without us even realizing the effect that colour has on our brain function. Units with lights could be advantageous to learners in the classroom or the study area.
South African water is generally of a good quality, therefore cold tap water will be ample when using a PerfectAire air purifier or diffuser. If a client is based in an area where the water is “hard”, one might find that they need to clean the units more often, as there could be a lime build up and residue left on the bowl and top of the unit. If this is not cleaned well, the build up could cause the motor to overheat and burn-out.
No, hot or boiling water, as well as a dishwasher will shrink the plastic bowl.
Depending on the air quality and level of pollutants such a dust, nicotine etc, it is suggested that the water and Microbeshield solution should be changed on average every 3 days.
Air purifiers purify the air by killing off viruses, bacteria, dust, mould, spores, nicotine and other airborne contaminants. Air purifiers should be used daily in order to ensure you are breathing clean, purified indoor air which prevents allergies and sinus.
A humidifier in generally used in the winter months to release moisture in the air when it is dry. It is generally used when a person is sick
A diffuser merely diffuses scent into the air which provide aromatherapy benefits from the oils.
